Frequently asked questions

Are program sessions covered by any confidentiality protections?

Yes. The NDA you sign with Northrop Grumman before the program covers your participation in program activities, including SME sessions, advocate matching, and the leadership pitch.

Does acceptance commit me to a funded pilot, investment, or vendor relationship with Northrop Grumman?

No. Any pilots, investments, joint ventures, or vendor arrangements are separate and would be negotiated with NGC during or after the program.

Does the program charge a fee or take equity?

No. There is no participation fee and no equity requirement.

Does the program give Northrop Grumman any rights to my IP?

No. Participation does not transfer any IP rights, licenses, options, or claims to NGC or FedTech. Any IP arrangements are separate, voluntary, and negotiated directly between your company and NGC as part of the specific engagement or contract you pursue with them. FedTech is not involved in that process.

Who sees my application materials, how are they handled, and does anyone acquire rights to them?

Both FedTech and Northrop Grumman will review your materials. Submitting an application does not grant either organization any license or right to use, copy, or commercialize what you submit. That said, both parties will have access, so do not upload proprietary, confidential, or controlled documents — including IP, trade secrets, or CUI. Questions about data retention and handling can be directed to FedTech.

Will I need to sign any agreements to participate?

There is no program participation agreement. Companies selected for the program will be asked to sign an NDA with Northrop Grumman (NG) before program activities begin. NG handles that process directly with selected companies.
