TABA helps SBIR/STTR awardees bridge the gap between research and market readiness by funding or enabling access to expert services that support technology commercialization.
Flexible Funding Through Federal Agencies
Support is delivered in one of two ways: federal agencies may directly fund approved vendors on behalf of small businesses, or provide additional funding so companies can independently contract consultants and service providers.
Eligibility and Provider Access
FedTech is the preferred TABA provider for Army Phase I & II SBIR/STTR and NOAA Phase II awardees. If you did not request TABA during your proposal stage, you may still be eligible. However, companies applying for SBIR/STTR funding must request TABA and specify their preferred provider at the time of application submission.

Who is eligible for TABA funding?

Small businesses with an active SBIR or STTR award are generally eligible. TABA usually must be requested, and some agencies ask you to name a preferred provider at application time.
