Clay is the NavalX Austin Lead at FedTech, where his diverse background from Naval Surface Warfare Officer to Sales Director converges to bolster defense innovation. His journey, underpinned by a Georgetown University MA in Security Studies and a strong military foundation, equips him to navigate the intersection of defense, policy, and technology. At FedTech, Clay is pivotal in merging the Navy's strategic capabilities with Austin's vibrant tech ecosystem, driving initiatives that foster collaboration and advancement within the naval innovation landscape.
Hadas Webb
Climate Tech & Clean Energy Team Lead
Hadas oversees the climate tech and clean energy portfolio at FedTech. Hadas brings experience designing entrepreneur support programs for historically underserved populations, as well as expertise in energy analysis for the built environment. Hadas is passionate about helping teams deconstruct complex challenges, bringing a creative lens to traditionally analytical spaces, and advancing innovations and opportunities that benefit communities most vulnerable to the harmful effects of climate change. Hadas holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
Crystal Shamblee
Senior Associate
Crystal is a human-centered thinker with 15 years of experience in higher education launching and designing new academic programs/ curriculums. During her time at the Maryland Institute College of Art, she launched the MPS User Experience Design program and lead/supervised the dual degree MA/MBA Design Leadership program focused on design thinking and the human-centered design approach. She transitioned out of higher ed to get more involved in mission-based work with the organization.
Aesha Mehta

Aesha works on FedTech’s Startup Studio program. Aesha brings multi-sector finance and operational expertise from her years in government, private sector, startups and social impact organizations. Aesha sits on the Virginia Council on Women, an advisory board to the governor. She holds a Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, MBA from DeSales University, and BS in Finance and Economics from Drexel University.

Greta brings her passion for entrepreneurship to the Homeland Security Startup Studio. She leverages her startup expertise cultivated from working for startups in the technology, medical device, and healthcare space. Prior to joining FedTech, she also worked in consulting and market research. Greta holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina and a BA from the University of Michigan.

Asmod Karki, a Senior Associate at FedTech, boasts a multifaceted profile including experience in technology, consulting, and entrepreneurship. With an academic backdrop in Public Policy Analysis from Princeton and Economics from Peking University, he possesses a global perspective. His experience spans consulting at a global firm, spearheading innovation at King’s College Nepal, to operational leadership in tech startups. Asmod’s knack for addressing complex challenges in frontier settings to steering growth in emerging markets enriches his role at FedTech, accelerating innovation ecosystems and shaping impactful tech ventures.
Ellen Erickson

Ellen manages the growing community of entrepreneurs, mentors, advisors, and partners for FedTech. Ellen has experience in small business resource and funding, network building, and relationship management from years in local government and global non-profit organizations. Ellen sits on the SXSW Pitch Advisory Board. She holds a Masters's Degree in International Development from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. From Rhodes College.
