The Homeland Security Startup Studio by FedTech brings entrepreneurial minds and scientific innovation together to foster global impact. Focused on promoting DHS S&T-funded technologies originating from university labs, federal labs, and FFRDCs, this platform connects entrepreneurs with cutting-edge tech to evaluate and actualize its potential for commercialization. It's a collaborative environment where new ventures are crafted to address the pressing needs of homeland security, serving both government and commercial sectors.
MSI Connect is a fellowship program that brings together the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Brookhaven National Laboratory, partner laboratories, and FedTech to empower students, researchers, and faculty from Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). The program connects entrepreneurial talent within the MSI community to opportunities for commercializing DOE technologies, blending expert mentorship, entrepreneurial training, and strategic partnerships to drive innovation and impact.
Foundry is a National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) program powered by FedTech. NSIN Foundry is a startup studio that matches cutting-edge Department of Defense (DoD) technologies with teams of entrepreneurs during intensive, 16-week cohorts. Entrepreneurs work closely with lab inventors, mentors, coaches, subject matter experts, and DoD end-users to assess the market viability and commercialization potential of the technologies. Successful teams form new companies, license the technologies, and develop solutions that impact the DoD and the private sector.
