Custom Innovation Programs
We design and execute tailored programs for technology training, transfer, transition, and commercialization. These programs are customized to meet each client's unique needs, ensuring effective and efficient innovation across all Technology Readiness Levels.
Our approach includes leveraging lean and design principles, market analysis, business model creation, and interactive, discussion-based modules. We have deep experience working across various focus areas from national security to biotech.
Internal Innovation Programs
Our internal innovation programs are designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset within technical organizations. We provide continual intrapreneurship training and consulting services, support idea challenges with training and coaching, and offer cohort-based innovation training for new ventures and line extensions.
For example, our DISA Innovation Program has been providing continual intrapreneurship training since 2018, helping to support idea challenges and improve concept quality. Similarly, our work with the Army Research Lab (ARL) and MITRE focuses on broad entrepreneurial training and developing technology transition plans. These programs help organizations build a culture of innovation, driving the development of impactful solutions from within.
Startup Studios
FedTech’s Startup Studios create new ventures around high-potential intellectual property (IP) sourced from government and university labs. We provide comprehensive support, including IP sourcing, entrepreneur sourcing, a structured 16-week program, and ongoing advisory services.
Teams are offered stipends and may receive financial incentives and alumni support upon meeting stage gate thresholds. Our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures a supportive on-ramp for underrepresented entrepreneurs. For example, the Department of Homeland Security Startup Studio and the NSIN Foundry Program are active initiatives where we match cutting-edge technologies with entrepreneurial teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Accelerators
Our accelerator programs are designed to create traction for deep tech startups. Each accelerator is customized to the needs of the participating entities, with recent examples including U.S. Army xTech Accelerators and the Northrop Grumman Technology Accelerator.
These programs can focus on a variety of technical areas from quantum hardware development to novel biotech solutions. Participants receive guidance on leveraging lean principles, market analysis, and business model creation, ensuring they are well-prepared to bring their innovations to market. For instance, the xTechPrime Accelerator, sponsored by the government through the xTech Program, helps startups compete for Direct to Phase II SBIR awards and team with integrators.
Advisory Services
FedTech offers specialized advisory services to support technology scouting, transition, and commercialization. This includes innovation and transition webinars, immersive experiences, design sprints, and one-on-one coaching.
