About the Program
Sandia National Laboratories is leading the Department of Energy (DOE) Boost Platform, or Boost, with industry partner FedTech, an initiative that brings national labs, startups, academia, and DOE-developed technologies together to find solutions to regional energy and infrastructure challenges.
Accepted entrepreneurs will be matched with a strategic and applicable technology from a participating DOE lab and will complete the program with a commercially viable startup, all without stepping away from their full-time job.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
U.S. citizens interested in entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply, with a particular focus on entrepreneurs from the Mountain West region—including Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah—though applicants from all regions are welcome.
The DOE Boost Platform is funded by the Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF), administered by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Technology Transitions.
